Introducing Mrs. Photodon

Monday, April 25th, 2011

Who she is:
She’s the Copilot, Vice President and a crucial part of what makes our business run so smoothly. This is Jeanette, aka Mrs. Photodon

Jeanette is a sweet and lovely woman who takes much pride in the business she and Don own. She holds her own full time position elsewhere but her every spare minute is given to Photodon.com.

Background
Don and Jeanette have been married for 11 years and they are every bit as in love today as they were when they first fell for each other.

Here is my interview with Mrs. Photodon:

  • Jeanette, when did you start rolling up your sleeves at Photodon.com?

Jeanette:”I have worked here 10+ years.”

  • What are your duties here?

Jeanette:”Oh I’m a multi-tasker! Lol I do a lot of the purchasing, product building, I package orders, I’m everyone’s proof reader, pay roll, making coffee for the boss… pretty much whatever needs to be done – I’m there!”

  • What would you say is your favorite product?

Jeanette:“I love the Photodon Ultra Screen Cleaner paired with the Bubble microfiber cloth. They do a streak-free and lint free job of screen cleaning.”

  • Let’s talk a little outside of work Jeanette. Get to know *YOU!* What music do you enjoy? Do you have any hobbies?”

Jeanette:”I enjoy most any music except female opera and really hard rap. But I love music! Sometimes I even sing in the car (not well) but I have fun! As far as hobbies go I have a few: sewing, painting, reading, cooking, hiking and surfing the internet. I’m also sports fan of any sport my Grand kids participate in.”

Who Uses a Monitor Hood Anyway?

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

Computer monitor hoods

A great tool for photographers needing a digital darkroom, a testing facility looking to keep test scores honest and for the airport, bank or doctor’s office where sensitive information needs to be kept private.

Computer monitor hoods are also great for the every day user who may sit under bright florescent lighting or near a sunny/bright window. Reducing/eliminating the glare on your screen makes your data is easier to read and reduces your risk for CVS (computer vision syndrome).

Ultimately a monitor hood will make you more alert and focused on your work – not on the eye strain and headaches that come with fighting glare on your screen. It helps reduce fatigue.

Computer Monitor Hood

You’ve got options!

When ordering your monitor hood from us you have a few choices:
One is a calibration door. This is a small sliding door that can be built with your hood (made to fit your monitor!) This door allows you to drop down your calibration spider to, well, calibrate your display image!!

Instead of removing the entire hood and replacing it once you have the spider in place, you will literally “open the door” to a smarter way of calibrating, creating the digital darkroom that works!

If you need the sides of the hood shortened or made longer, we’ll make it so!

Need your hood a little deeper than what we offer? How about a little less deep? We can take care of that too!

Our hoods have options that you can choose from right on the product page. It’s like building your very own unique hood yourself!

Didn’t find what you were looking for in our hood selection?

Don’t despair!
We can custom build a hood for you! Be sure to get a hold of us to work with our capable and knowledgeable Team. We’re always happy to help you!

So who uses a computer monitor hood?

Maybe *you* should!

  • Do you find yourself squinting to see past the glare on your screen?
  • After an hour or two at your computer do your eyes get tired?
  • Does working on your computer give you a headache?
  • Is the lighting in your office bright and hard to avoid?
  • Are you working with private information?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you may want to consider a computer monitor hood!

We also carry Privacy Shields which give you glare reduction and privacy just like a hood but without the total coverage of a Monitor Hood.

As always if you have questions, post on our FaceBook wall!

Or leave your comment below this blog.

Bluetooth Keyboard and Case for your iPad 1

Tuesday, April 5th, 2011
Bluetooth Keyboard and Case for iPad 1

We’re excited to add this awesome new product to our store!

We’ve used it ourselves and just love it! The iPad all by itself is an amazing little computer but when you needed a keyboard it was no longer the "man for the job". Until now!

Three quick and easy steps will have you ready to use your iPad as a laptop!

Charging the keyboard case takes about 4 hours your first charge, then slip in your iPad (takes a second to establish the bluetooth connection) and place the computer in the slanted position (as shown above) and start typing!

The soft silicon keys make typing smooth and enjoyable! The soft keys won’t harm your iPad’s screen when folded up as a case. But just because the keys are a clean soft rubber don’t think that they are "mushy"! They are very responsive. This keyboard also offers all the same hot/quick keys that you’re use to with Mac computers.

A strong magnetic closure of the case will have you feeling secure when carrying your light little iPad around with you. Weighing a whole 2.75lbs (with the iPad in the case) you won’t wear your arm out carrying this small outfit around!

The soft padding of the synthetic leather case will protect your iPad from getting banged up/damaged and is available in the handsome selection of black or white.

Stand it up!

When not using the keyboard use your case as a stand for your iPad and watch a movie or read an interesting article, (like this one!)
With over 40 hours per charge you’ll have no reason not to use your Bluetooth Keyboard and Case everywhere you go!

Learn more about the Bluetooth Keyboard and Case and consider purchasing it!

And don’t forget to protect your screen with antiglare film for your iPad and pickup a screen cleaning kit to clean up all those finger prints.

Already have the iPad 1 Bluetooth Keyboard and Case?

Tell us what you think about it! What did you love about it? What could have been better? How often do you use it/ take it with you? Come tell us about your experience as a review on the product page or chat about on our Facebook wall! We want to hear your honest opinion!

I’m outta here for now! Thanks for reading!
