The Gramm-Leach-Bliley act of 1999 instituted significant changes to the laws governing financial institutions. This privacy compliance includes absolute privacy of customer's information from anyone not authorized to receive it. In most bank lobbies customers and other employees can freely
walk around computer screens and view information. These shields help keep customers' information private. This privacy compliance is nationwide.
Color / exterior finishes:
- "Simulated black leather" is plastic coated and textured to look like leather on both sides. This material has very good scuff and durability characteristics and will cleanup with soap and water.
- Ivory vinyl outside finish is about one shade lighter than most ivory colored computer equipment, thus it blends well and gives a nice look. This material has good durability with the outside vinyl layer.
- All are equally efficient at blocking light and/or absorbing light on the interior surface.
