We here at Photodon believe in working towards keeping the earth as green as possible. Don and Jeanette have instilled in their employees the importance of recycling, re-using and even composting. They also help by supping the Conservation Resource Alliance and are big into planting trees.
We believe in helping the Grand Traverse Region community by supporting The United Way of Northwest Michigan. The United Way invests in developing children and youth to their full potential, helping seniors remain independent and supporting people rebuilding their lives.
Helping people is a priority for Photodon not just in business but personally.
Don's response to the COVID pandemic was to help hospitals (and later hairdressers) by engineering and manufacturing face shields to help keep them safe.
A majority of these were donated to folks that were in need during the crisis.
We provide jobs for folks in northern Michigan and manufacture our end products right here in the United States.
There's a huge respect for our veterans and teachers that help others out on a regular basis and provide a discount to show some appreciation.
The folks at Photodon enjoy learning and listening to their local radio station WNMC Community Radio. They help to support them and their mission of providing educational & culturally enriched programming to its northern Michigan service area.
Not only does helping humans matter to us, but we love to support our local animal shelter. Cherryland Humane Society does a fantastic job of taking care of our furry friends. They are a "no-kill" shelter and will take care of these sweet animals until they find their "fur"ever home.
Thank you for taking care of those who count on your support to survive.
We'd like to thank ALL of our partners for helping people, our earth, our education, and our animals!
