Don Basch (top left in the photo above) and Jeanette Basch (center) are the owners of Photodon. They have instilled a people-first approach that has earned the trust of loyal customers, many of whom have been with Photodon from the very beginning. Through a commitment to quality, reliability, and lasting relationships, Photodon continues to serve customers across a wide range of industries and applications.

Photodon began in the late 1990s in the home of founders Don and Jeanette and was officially incorporated in 2000. As a member of the Traverse City Camera Club, Don recognized a common challenge among digital photographers: viewing camera screens in bright sunlight. To solve the problem, he designed a small screen hood that shaded the display and made it easier to see outdoors.

The solution quickly gained attention from fellow photographers, prompting Don to offer the product online. That's how Photodon got its name and took its first steps as a business.

As technology evolved, so did Photodon. After discovering anti-glare screen protection materials that provided similar visibility benefits, Don began cutting and selling custom screen protectors online. Over the years, the product line expanded to include clear screen protectors, privacy filters, monitor hoods, microfiber cloths, laptop stands, and a variety of custom acrylic solutions.

Today, Photodon continues to provide high-quality screen protection and privacy solutions, proudly serving customers across a wide range of industries from its home base in Traverse City, Michigan.
