Love having this on my iPad. It’s much easier to write and draw with the Apple Pencil. No glare and the amount of streaks and gross finger prints is way down. I barely used my iPad before this screen protector and now I use it daily. Fast shipping and a cute little handwritten “thank you” on the package.
Note From Store Owner: Ashley, we're so happy that you've been able to use and enjoy your iPad since you installed your screen protector. It should allow you to write and draw for a LONG time to come! Thanks for the kind words.

I wanted it to draw with the apple pencil, so good sensitivity for stylus/touch and color accuracy was a must. I was afraid because it was going to be my first screen protector ever, but my, even thoug I'm not experienced with screen protectors, I only have good things to say about this one: easy to put, natural feeling, no color distortion, and the install and care items were a nice touch.Thank you for making my first experience this good! :)
Note From Store Owner: We're glad you like the MXH film!

Photodon Screen Protector for iPad

Ordering / finding product to fit my needs was easy - rating a 5.\n\nI received in an expiditious manner - rating 5.\n\nPackaging was perfect - rating a 5.\n\nInstructions were perfect - I had some trepidation about the dust and bubbles in the directions, but handled it like a pro. \n\nProducts for cleaning were included - nice touch. Rating 5\n\nI sketched a dinosaur and enjoyed the light grit of the matt protector. Feels a bit like drawing on paper. Certainly keeps my hand / pencil from slip-sliding all over the glass iPad screen pre install. \n\nWill take some getting used to, but I do believe I am going to like it. I have yet to use the painting function on procreate which is my primary purpose, but drawing is nice. I don't feel like the matt protector takes away from the visual either.
Note From Store Owner: The MXH is a nice film, for sure. We're happy you like it, Lisa!

Really too early to tell about how much I like the product, but I think I like it quite a bit. \n\nUse iPad Pro 12.9 as a "laptop" using a Brydge 12.9 keyboard and an Otterbox clear case. Have to modify the Otterbox by cutting out slots for the Brydge clips, but it works well and (I hope) protects the screen. First two iPad 12.9 screens cracked (removing from keyboard to write on it in the tablet mode). \n\nPhotoDon screen protector is mainly to get the Apple Pencil to feel a little less slippery on the glass. The MXH protector does that, gives it a little bit of drag and doesn't pixelate the image (my aging eyes are blurry anyway). While the protector adds friction, I won't say it feels anything like pencil/pen on paper, but it does provide gentle tactile feedback and makes some squeaky noises now and then. Hard to tell if that makes the "virtual handwriting" more legible or not...I think so. \n\nExcellent supplies and online video into to help get the screen protector installed. When this one wears out, I'll buy from PhotoDon again.
Note From Store Owner: Thanks, GEM. If you're interested in getting some nano spray to help with the glide and reduces squeaks, let us know.

I cannot recommend this company enough. \n\nI am absolutely blown away by the service, performance and professionalism that Photodon has given me throughout my journey of getting this product. \n\nMy first chat with Jolynn, who was really friendly and ready to answer any question I had regarding anything from customs, quality of different screen protectors to anything I wanted to ask - Jolynn was responsible for my purchase. Thank you Jolynn, great job! :) \n\nI recently installed my MXH screen protector for my iPad Pro 2nd gen 12.9 yesterday and I’m blown away. I only have one issue and that’s my own fault; I didn’t check the top notch where my selfie camera is :(. Other than that, I managed to align the screen and it’s everything that Photodon said it would be. My Apple Pencil works like a dream - it feels like writing on paper! Even better than paperlike!\n\nAs a UK customer, thank you very much for service across the pond. Anyone who is reading this from the UK, rest assured that you will be looked after. \nI will be recommending your services to everyone who needs a protector. Thank you and I look forward to purchasing from you again. :)
Note From Store Owner: Wow, James! Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review. You made our day!

The all-inclusive kit came with everything I need to install and maintain the screen protector. Has a perfect slightly toothy finish for the paper feel that I was looking for when converting to a digital medium.

This screen protector has a great texture for drawing with the Apple Pencil. Reduces glare well, no coarse pattern visible, and zero impact on image quality (compared to an old one I had, it's night and day). Application was extremely easy, I only had to push a pair of bubbles out to make it completely smooth.\n\nUnfortunately it was damaged in transit, one of the corners is bent :( It came sandwiched between two larger cardboard sheets, but wasn't affixed to the middle - ended up lodged in a corner that must have taken a hit. I also only noticed it when applying the film, since the bend was exactly underneath one of the corner stickers. The bent part barely touches the screen edge, and shipping to EU was not exactly cheap so I guess I'll have to live with that.

I'm really happy with my purchase. I was looking for something that had a little texture like paper. It's not likevas much bite as series 400 paper. More like just a bit more bite than cardstock. The screen also protects against glare. I haven't hard core tested this but I have noticed my eyes feel less strained in the normal light I draw in. \n\nI highly recommend doing the optional vacuuming step. I had exactly one grain of dust under the protecter and it left a permement air bubble. Small and off to the side. But I was afraid of lifting the protecter and messing it all up worse. So I left it. Tried to squeegee it out with their included "credit card." Tip: it's made from cardboard, not plastic, so be pretty gentle. Aggressive use from the corner of their card on the dust bubble also tore a tiny hole. I ended up trying an exaco blade to get the air and dust out. DONT DO THAT. I was dumb. It didn't work, and I was very careful so damage was minimal (probably just a pin hole or so in the protecter). But I'd say my attempt made it worse over all. Stupid of me, not on them.\n\nI'd definitely recommend this if you're looking for the attributes I was looking for. Mainly to be used for art with Procreate. I'm really happy with it in nearly every regard, certainly every reasonable regard. I will buy from them again.\n\nPS, hey Photodon.com, can you please make a screen protecter specifically designed with artists like me in mind? To simulate the tooth and feel of paper while being gentle on Apple Pencil nubs and still beautifully clear, hearty, and protective. I pinky-promise I'll love you forever and we will be BFFs!\n\n\nVery respectfully,\n\nMatteo\n@GalleryJejune
Note From Store Owner: Hi, Mateo - Thanks for such an articulate review! Those pesky grains of dust can be such a nuisance, no doubt. We will gladly ship you another screen protector for 50% off should you decide you'd like another go of it. Also, we'll look into the request of a clear, paper-like screen protector for artists. I don't know if such a one exists, but we'll check. 6HS is popular with our artist community because there is a bit of a drag on the film and we include a special spray to make the glide smoother should you not like the grip.

Absolutely LOVE this screen protector. I wanted a matte screen protector to provide some tooth for drawing, and I wanted there to be as little light dithering as possible, and the MXH does not disappoint. \n\nTooth: Perfect texture for me. I wouldn't describe it exactly as pencil on paper; more like pencil on smooth masonite board. Feels so much more natural than glass.\n\nSpeckling/Dithering: Practically none at all- Was worried about this the most, both as a professional illustrator and as someone who gets frequent light-triggered migraines. There is the teensiest teensiest tiniest amount of dithering, but I have to look hard to see it. It doesn't impact my workflow whatsoever- There is zero loss in sharpness or color quality, and no increase in migraines either. \n\nAm finding myself drawing way more on my ipad than before; the MXH protector really makes it much easier and more natural to use. Good job, Photodon team!
Note From Store Owner: Yay! We're glad you love the MXH, Hannah, and congratulations on a successful installation. Thanks for the review!

MXH film for iPad Pro

Perfect fit. The MXH film does not detract from image clarity, brightness, or affect color balance and viewing angles.\nI use the iPad Pro for drawing. The MXH film adds a texture to the surface that enhances Stylus-to-Screen friction without going overboard. \n...now, if Apple would only come out with a hard felt-tip nib for the Apple Pencil.
Note From Store Owner: Thanks, Alan! We're glad MXH is a good match for you!
